The Shivas
The Shivas
The Shivas are a rock and roll band from Portland, Oregon formed in 2006. With mountains of reverb and walls of feedback they have since rolled their swirling dance party throughout many countries around the world. At the close of 2014, The Shivas had released 4 LPs, a 7” EP and various short run cassettes. The most recent release is October 2014’s long player “You Know What To Do” (K Records LP/CD, Burger Records CASS), which was followed by tours of the U.S. and Europe. In January 2015 they went back into the studio, again at Dub Narcotic in Olympia, Washington, to record their next full length “Better Off Dead” with engineer and co-producer Calvin Johnson. It is slated for release on K Records late this summer.
MELT
MELT
Melt is a rock and roll outfit that was formed in October 2014 in Portland Oregon by front man Jeff Boyardee. The original lineup consisted of Jeff, Ryan Lella, Ted Parker, and Nik Barnaby. However through the years Nik and Ryan have departed. Ted, Dan Bedell, Daniel McIntyre and Adria Ivanitsky have joined in their places. Since 2014 they have released multiple EPs and cassettes (Black Gold, Funhouse, and Pick A Fight) as well as completed multiple West Coast and Southwest tours.
The Band Ice Cream
The Band Ice Cream
Dairy Rock/Melting Pop. Give me ice cream, or give me death. The Band Ice Cream from San Francisco, CA plays relatable garage rock songs for the damned. They come to you in frequencies and resonate with your loins. Your children will like them on summer nights. Your mother will love them on sale at Costco. Their latest album, Classically Trained, is a melting pot of dirty, fuzzy, slightly stupid rock n’ roll that producer Bruce Botnick put his own personal flourishes on. Singles like "Wild", "Surfer Girl" and "Sick Over U" have landed them opening shows and festivals for the likes of Hinds, Sunflower Bean, Black Pistol Fire, Night Beats, Tijuana Panthers and more.
Danny Dodge & The Dodge Gang
Danny Dodge & The Dodge Gang
Having been a fixture in the Portland music scene for the better part of a decade as front man for both No Tomorrow Boys and The Criminal Guitars, Danny Dodge’s first solo effort, “Baby, Let Me Be Your Mess” is a notable departure from the garage/punk of his former bands. Showcasing jangled power-pop riffs and clever lyrical hooks, Dodge’s new found project will relate more to the likes of The Byrds and Tom Petty than the punk of old. Songs like “You Need a Man, Not a Hurrican’” and “Worry ‘Bout Ya” cut to the heart of fond memories, romanticizing the listener with a 70’s era blast made by a front seat rock radio. The lyrical wordplay in songs like “Yakima Canutt” recall Dylan-esque motifs, smacked with a sense of dark humor Dodge acquired from long nights obsessing inside the American songbook. His obsession with things passed not only shaped him as a songwriter, but as a believer in the immortality of the hook. Enlisting the help of Dodge’s right hand man, Randal Blaschke on guitar, Roselit Bone’s Matt Mayhem and Victor Franco on bass and drums, respectively, Criminal Guitars’ Jacob Decker on organ and Jenny Don’t on backup vocals, Dodge built a powerful backing band to give life to the songs. The result is a 10 song collision of rock and country, diving into the well of Roger Miller and Stones-era Beggar’s Banquet with relative ease. Cut mostly live in a two day window at Portland’s Get Loud with Matt Drenik at the helm, there’s no denying the urgency and spirit of this Portland rock ’n’ roll band.

Welcome, Danny Dodge.
