The Dream Syndicate
The Dream Syndicate
A classic guitar band of the eighties. Born at the end of the Punk era, with a feel for Velvet Undergroundon The Dream Syndicate instantly became the saviours of alternative rock before tha term was commonly used.
With The Days Of Wine and Roses they climbed to a highpoint in the critics eyes, and is still today considered a classic outside of die hard Steve Wynn fans circles.

The Medicine Show took a different direction that the raw punkish debut, and some critiques turned their fingers down. It was/is however on of the most lived albums among fans.

After The Medicine Show there was change in line up. Out went Kendra Smith and Karl Precoda and in came Mark Walton and Paul B. Cutler.
The Minus 5
The Minus 5
The Minus 5 continues to be one rickety roadster driven by Scott McCaughey, with Peter Buck as co-pilot, amidst countless other more talented friends. This evening’s festivities will celebrate the 13th long play under this moniker, starting with 1994’s Old Liquidator, through a 2003 collaboration with Wilco (Down With Wilco). His ode to Portland (2009’s 'Killingsworth'), an all-new five-record set in 2014 called 'Scott The Hoople In The Dungeon Of Horror', and holiday outing 'Dear December' in 2017. In November 2017, Scott suffered a stroke while on tour with Alejandro Escovedo and The Minus 5, thus quite nearly pulling the plug on his life and big-time rock career. Thanks to the help of friends, family and fans, Scott spent 2018 recovering, and embarking on a series of “Therapy Sessions” at Portland happy hours, gradually gaining back piece by piece, much of what he’d lost.

Now 2019 will bring new McCaughey (pronounced “McCoy”) music with Young Fresh Fellows, Filthy Friends, The No Ones, Arthur Buck, as well as The Minus 5. And no doubt some others. Thank YOU.
Eyelids
Eyelids
Eyelids really had existed long before the band even started. In various previous groupings, the band members had the great pleasure of creating music for some of the most legendary indie songwriters ever– from Robert Pollard (Guided By Voices) to Elliott Smith; from Colin Meloy to Stephen Malkmus (Pavement/Jicks). But just a few years ago, as longtime friends we started to channel our teenage Paisley Underground obsessions and love of New Zealand / Flying Nun guitar buzz into our own music which we described as “sweet melodies and bummer vibes.” Currently working on their 2nd full length (which will again be produced by Peter Buck of R.E.M) their new 3 song 7" "SLOW IT GOES" will be released in the meantime on Sept. 9th.

Eyelids have been quite busy in the short period of their existence and have released a self-titled EP, toured with the legendary Charlatans UK (who also decided to release Eyelids' debut album "854" in the UK on their own label),released four sold out 7"s (including a hand silkscreened Record Store Day 7") and directed several music videos, including one animated by Jack Cusamano (from the insane Adult Swim show Rick & Morty) and yet another which featured professional wrestlers singing their songs in earnest. The band does like to have a good time.
