The Hugs
The Hugs
If Brit-pop and the Pacific Northwest made sweet, dirty love, you’d get The Hugs. Their angsty, get-off-your-ass-and-dance sound is cut with a dose of nostalgic indie and garage rock that only comes as a product of slightly off-centered creative types and too many consecutive days of rain. Based out of Portland, OR, this spunky trio unleashes their catchy hooks and off-the-wall energy in every live performance— smiling, dancing, and getting down with their sound is a given. Whether they’re opening for bands like The Kooks or The Dandy Warhols or headlining house shows, fans love The Hugs for their British Invasion-esque rebelliousness and psychedelic pop roots.
The Lavender Flu
The Lavender Flu
The Lavender Flu is an American indie/psych/alt-rock band, formed by Chris Gunn (2). After his main band The Hunches broke up soon after Exit Dreams release, Gunn moved to San Francisco and pursued solo experiments.

In 2010, Chris Gunn relocated back to Portland, and started working on his new project at Old Standard Sound, the studio where Hunches had recorded 'Exit Dreams.' He invited his brother Lucas, ex-Hunches drummer Ben Spencer, and Scott Simmons from Eat Skull to join him in what eventually became Lavender Flu. Several other musicians joined periodically, including Justin Higgins (2), the Old Standard owner, and former band partners: Hart Gledhill from The Hunches, and Adam Stonehouse of The Hospitals.

In 2016, The Lavender Flu released their debut Heavy Air album, combining songs recorded between 2009–2014, and issued on 2xLP by Scott's label Meds, with CD/digital edition on Holy Mountain.

Kulululu
Kulululu
Kulululu brings out the essence of the DIY movement. Approximating the sound of garage rockers who spent a summer semester at Julliard. Kulululu will melt your face while expanding your mind. More than a band, Kulululu is a state of being. When you ignore common thought and strive to follow your inner vision, you are Kulululu. When a band makes music that combines an art-rock aesthetic with fantastic musicianship and an impossible-to-predict live show, that band is Kulululu.
