Swansea
Swansea
Swansea combines artful narratives and a sweeping, atmospheric sound with a touch of dancey, off-the-cuff toughness, and have been compared to bands such as LCD Soundsystem, David Bowie and Santigold. In 2012, the three-piece released their first full-length album, Old Blood, and completed two tours of the western United States.
Us Lights
Us Lights
Back in September of 2013, I went to see Porcelain Raft at Bunk Bar, and on a rare occasion, the local opener happened to pique my interest. Us Lights were just sprouting (formed in summer of 2013) , but the five-piece already possesed that unquantifiable trait - they sound like Us Lights, and not a cheap imitation of established artists. Layers of textures from moody synths, steadfast rhythm section, stadium-worthy vocals, and an intricate sampling create an atmospheric pop that is intangible yet tantalizing." -- Autumn Andel, Prefix Magazine

"Us Lights, is a newish dark-pop band from members of the Brothers Young and Hurtbird (among lots of other Portland bands). "Sometimes Smile" is an eerie but propulsive number that conjures an intricate spiral pattern like a spider's web. There's tons of atmosphere here, with muscly bass and cannon-like drums providing a sturdy foundation to the more ethereal, water-drop elements." -- NED LANNAMANN, Portland Mercury
LiquidLight
LiquidLight
Selected as Portland Oregon’s Best Emerging Alt Rock Band by The Deli Magazine, LiquidLight has momentum and they aren’t stopping any time soon. Their first full length album, Uninitiated, showcased a band with tremendous potential as a pop-rock powerhouse. Referencing post-punk and alternative bands such as Husker Du and The Replacements, LiquidLight has been described as “melodic, thoughtful and jingle-jangly as well as shred-crazy and powerful”.

Songwriters Anthony Medici and Cory West, both Berklee College of Music alums, honed their craft while performing with bands in Boston and along the East Coast. They are each highly accomplished multi-instrumentalists backed by an explosive and versatile rhythm section, Mitch Wilson on drums and Grahame Bywater on bass. Medici's lead vocals lend a cryptic yet powerful element to the sound and structure of the band, echoing the melodic sensibilities of the college/alternative era.

LiquidLight returns this summer with new music, album Wicked Radio, mastered at the Capitol Tower by Evren Göknar (The Cult, Steve Vai, Lenny Kravitz, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Iggy Pop, Mavis Staples...). Look for the new single, out soon!
