Cascade Crescendo
Cascade Crescendo
Cascade Crescendo, from Portland, Oregon has been crafting their own brand of bluegrass since 2013. Pulling from their vast range of collective influences, they play original, high-energy bluegrass, jamgrass, and Americana music with captivating lead vocals by Hunter White, blazing fast mandolin licks by Aden Beck, and creative, thumping bass lines by Taylor Skiles. Duluth, MN banjo player, Harrison Olk, joined the band in late 2015, bringing with him solid Scruggs-style banjo and high lonesome harmony vocals.

Cascade Crescendo recorded their first studio album in Spring 2016 at The Hallowed Halls in Portland, OR. The album features fiddle player, Allie Kral (Yonder Mountain String Band) on five tracks and a guest appearance by drummer Nick Werth (Yak Attack, Ghost-Note). Cascade Crescendo is gaining steam, quickly winning over fans across the Pacific Northwest and beyond. They performed at the 2016 Northwest String Summit and regularly team up with national touring bands including Henhouse Prowlers, Hot Buttered Rum, Trout Steak Revival, Front Country, Danny Barnes, and more. They're returning to Northwest String Summit in 2017 following their first National tour that spanned 14 states across the country!
Yak Attack
Yak Attack
Yak Attack will make you dance. Founded in Portland, OR in 2013, the live electronica quartet has been making waves in the local scene and expanding its fan base regionally in its short history. Rowan Cobb (bass), Dave Dernovsek (keys) and Devin Weston (drums) combine skilled playing with live looping and effects, resulting in expansive sonic terrain and heightened peaks well beyond the capabilities of most live trios. In 2015, the group added Nick Werth (percussion/xylosynth) to the Yak herd. Nick is a fantastic musician and human being who also performs as solo hip-hop/loop artist GALAXE, and has opened up a whole new dimension of sound and live performance elements for the band. Electronic and traditional genres including house, breakbeat, downtempo, jazz, and funk, tight compositions seamlessly blended with improvisation, and frequent contributions from guest musicians define a typical Yak show. The band released its first full-length album in 2015, "Real World Conditions", and will soon be bringing its unique mix of live chops, electronic techniques, and monkey noises to a venue near you.
