Inter Arma
Inter Arma
Formed in 2006, Inter Arma is one of the most talked about heavy bands to come out of Richmond, VA. The group (consisting of T.J. Childers - Drums, Steven Russell - Guitars, Trey Dalton - Guitars, Mike Paparo - Vocals, Joe Kerkes - Bass) formed in 2006 and released their crushing debut full-length Sundown via Forcefield Records in 2010 to much critical acclaim. Combining a punk rock ethos with an esoteric blend of psychedelia, black metal, and doom/sludge, the quintet quickly developed a name for themselves in the underground through relentless touring and mesmerizing live performances. After Sundown's release, Inter Arma began a rigorous DIY touring schedule, playing shows with bands like Cough, Krallice, Mutant Supremacy, Castevet, Royal Thunder, Ken Mode, The Body, Hull, Batillus, Black Breath and many more.
In 2012, the band released a 12" EP entitled Destroyer via Toxic Assets Records. Based on the strength of this EP they immediately signed to Relapse Records and embarked on a self-booked month long tour. The band excitedly commented, "It's pretty crazy to think that we'll be tacitly associated with bands like Neurosis, Amorphis, Human Remains, diSEMBOWELMENT, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Incantation, Mastodon, et al. That's a pretty high standard to hold yourself to, but we'll give it our damndest." Expect Inter Arma to deliver on their promise.
Atriarch
Atriarch
Atriarch's first album "Forever The End" was released in 2011 on Seventh Rule. 2012 releases were a split EP with Alaric on 20 buck spin and a full length album "Ritual Of Passing" on Profound Lore. In 2014 they signed with Relapse Records and released "An Unending Pathway". Their fourth album, coming in 2017 via Relapse Records promises to be even more bleak, hypnotic, and explosive.

Atriarch delivers a unique brand of sonic darkness, pulling influence from classic death rock and infusing it with their own style of heaviness. They offer a cathartic experience, both on their records and in their live performance.
Sól
Sól
Formed in 2013 in Portland, Oregon, Sól is a 5-piece post-metal band that explores the beauty and fear of the natural world. Comprised of brooding heaviness and atmospheric calm, their sound reflects the dense and expansive landscape of the Pacific Northwest. Sól has been fortunate to tour the west coast (including spots on both Stumpfest and Crucialfest 2016), sharing the stage with bands such as Cold Blue Mountain, InAeona, SubRosa, North, and YOB. With their debut 2014 release, “Black Mountain”, Sól established a sound for themselves that highlighted dynamic qualities of soft clean post-rock sections with loud depressing chord progressions in a single package. Their new album “Upheaval” continues to accentuate and expand these dynamic qualities by incorporating influences from ambient music and extreme metal. Each song provides a stark contrast of soft beautiful passages and crushing metal riffs, with elements of hardcore, black metal, and sludge. Lyrically, “Upheaval” examines our disconnection from one another, and from the world in which we reside. It was recorded at Toadhouse Studios with Adam Pike and mastered by Magnus Lindberg Productions.

“The feelings created by this release are immense and powerful. Whether soft or heavy, light or dark, this is an exemplary release that shows a multidimensional grasp of what makes exploratory and inventive music such as this as compelling and involving as it is.” (Wonderbox Metal on Black Mountain)

“This is post-metal that fans of stoner and sludge should equally enjoy” (Satan’s Music Box)

“At the beginning of each track you feel like it’s all going to be chilling winds, mild heat and perfect fishing weather but by the end of each track, you feel like you are on fire with little hope of clawing your way out of this blazing volcano of doom.” (Tales of Deception)
